Description

Crispy golden rice balls filled with savory seasoned beef, offering a delicious contrast between crunchy coating and tender, flavorful filling.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked rice (slightly sticky)
  • 300g ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a pan, cook the ground beef with chopped onion and garlic over medium heat until browned and fully cooked.
  2. Season with soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well and let cool slightly.
  3. Take a portion of rice and flatten it in your hand.
  4. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center and shape the rice around it to form a ball, sealing היט היט.
  5. Roll each rice ball in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C (350°F).
  7. Fry the rice balls until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 3–4 minutes.
  8. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

  • Use slightly sticky rice for better shaping.
  • Ensure balls are tightly sealed to prevent breaking during frying.
  • Add cheese for a gooey center variation.
  • Can be frozen before frying for later use.
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer to retain crispiness.
