Ingredients
Fruits
- 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
Oils & Sweeteners
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp honey
Dairy
- 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
Garnish
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium heat to prepare for grilling the peaches.
- Prepare Peaches: Lightly brush the cut side of each peach half with olive oil. This step prevents sticking to the grill and helps create perfect grill marks.
- Grill First Side: Place the peaches cut-side down on the preheated grill. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes until the bottoms develop char marks and begin to soften.
- Flip & Grill Other Side: Carefully flip the peaches and continue grilling for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. They should soften but still hold their shape.
- Plate & Add Ice Cream: Remove the peaches from the grill and place two halves on each serving plate. Top each serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- Drizzle & Garnish: Drizzle the grilled peaches and ice cream with honey for sweetness. Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves for a refreshing touch.
Notes
- Choose ripe but firm peaches to prevent them from falling apart during grilling.
- Use a clean grill or grill pan to avoid unwanted flavors.
- Honey can be substituted with maple syrup or agave nectar for a different flavor profile.
- If a grill is unavailable, you can use a grill pan or broiler to achieve similar results.
- For a dairy-free option, substitute vanilla ice cream with coconut or almond milk-based alternatives.
