Description

These Halloween Chocolate Pretzel Spider Webs are a fun and spooky treat perfect for Halloween parties. Combining salty pretzels and rich melted chocolate, these webs are both delicious and visually striking. Easy to make with simple ingredients, they bring a creepy-cute vibe to your seasonal celebrations.

Ingredients

Pretzel Base

  • 40 mini pretzel twists

Chocolate Web

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Decorations

  • 8 candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pretzel Base: On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange the mini pretzels in a circular pattern layered to resemble a spider web, alternating circles and lines as you go.
  2. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Create Web Design: Using a piping bag or a small zip-top bag with the corner snipped off, carefully pipe the melted chocolate over the pretzels in concentric circles and then add lines radiating outwards to mimic a spider web.
  4. Add Eyes: Before the chocolate sets, place candy eyes strategically on the web to resemble spiders sitting on the web.
  5. Set the Webs: Let the chocolate cool and harden at room temperature or place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes until firm.
  6. Serve: Once the chocolate is completely set, gently remove the webs from the parchment paper and serve your festive Halloween treats.

Notes

  • You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with white or dark chocolate for different looks.
  • If you don’t have coconut oil, you can melt the chocolate without it but stirring thoroughly is important.
  • Work quickly when piping the chocolate as it can harden fast.
  • Store the webs in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For an added spooky effect, consider placing gummy spiders alongside or on the webs.
