Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fill Cupcake Liners: Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about ⅔ full.
- Bake: Bake in preheated oven for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool Completely: Remove cupcakes from oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare Frosting: Beat the softened butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar. Mix in vanilla extract and milk until you reach desired frosting consistency. Divide frosting into separate bowls and tint each with Halloween-themed food coloring.
- Decorate: Frost each cupcake with colored frosting using a piping bag or knife. Decorate with Halloween sprinkles, edible eyes, and candy decorations to create spooky Halloween themes.
