Description

This Healthy Breakfast Smoothie is a quick, nutritious, and delicious way to start your day. Packed with fruits, greens, and protein, it provides sustained energy and essential nutrients. Ideal for busy mornings, this smoothie blends fresh ingredients into a creamy, satisfying drink that supports a balanced diet.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)

Liquids

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

Extras

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Wash the spinach leaves thoroughly and peel the banana. Measure out all other ingredients to have them ready for blending.
  2. Add Ingredients to Blender: Into your blender, add the fresh spinach, banana, frozen mixed berries, almond milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, peanut butter, and honey if using.
  3. Blend Smooth: Blend all the ingredients on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This should take about 30 to 60 seconds depending on your blender’s power.
  4. Check Consistency and Adjust: If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more almond milk and blend again until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Serve Fresh: Pour the smoothie into a glass or to-go cup and enjoy immediately for the best taste and nutrient retention.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, use a plant-based yogurt instead of Greek yogurt.
  • You can substitute peanut butter with almond or cashew butter for variety.
  • Add a scoop of protein powder to increase protein content if desired.
  • Use fresh or frozen fruit depending on preference and availability.
  • Chia seeds can be soaked beforehand for easier digestion if preferred.
