Description

A delightful appetizer combining creamy burrata cheese, sweet and juicy peaches, and a savory touch of Parmesan on crispy crostini, all drizzled with a spicy hot honey for a perfect balance of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Crostini

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch slices
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Toppings

  • 8 ounces burrata cheese
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced thinly

Hot Honey

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crostini: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crostini are golden brown and crispy.
  2. Make the hot honey: In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the honey gently. Add red chili flakes and stir for 2-3 minutes to infuse the honey with a mild spiciness. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Assemble the crostini: Once the crostini are cool enough to handle, spread a generous amount of burrata cheese on each slice. Top with thin peach slices, layering them beautifully to cover the cheese.
  4. Finish and serve: Drizzle the hot honey over the assembled crostini just before serving, allowing the sweet heat to complement the creamy burrata and fresh peaches. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor contrast.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm peaches for the best texture.
  • Adjust the amount of red chili flakes in the hot honey to control the spiciness.
  • For a crunchier crostini, bake a few minutes longer but watch carefully to prevent burning.
  • This appetizer is best enjoyed fresh to maintain the contrast between creamy cheese and crispy bread.
