Description

Crunchy roasted almonds coated in a warm, sweet and savory spice blend, perfect for snacking or gifting.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss the almonds with olive oil or melted butter until evenly coated.
  3. Add brown sugar or honey, salt, black pepper, paprika, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper if using.
  4. Mix well until the almonds are fully coated with the spice mixture.
  5. Spread the almonds in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, stirring halfway through for even roasting.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving to allow them to crisp up.

Notes

  • Stir halfway through baking to prevent burning.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper based on spice preference.
  • Let almonds cool fully for maximum crunch.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
