Description

Tender chicken and chewy noodles coated in a rich sticky garlic sauce made with soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil for a quick and flavorful dinner that tastes better than takeout.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breasts or chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 12 oz noodles
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken pieces with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, oyster sauce, sesame oil, chicken broth, and cornstarch.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  6. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir until thickened into a glossy coating.
  8. Add the cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated with the sauce.
  9. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes before serving.

  • Lo mein, ramen, spaghetti, or udon noodles all work well for this recipe.
  • Add vegetables like broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, or snap peas for extra texture and color.
