Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked salmon (fresh or canned, flaked)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/4 cup yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare a skillet with oil for frying.
  2. In a bowl, combine flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, green onions, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into small balls and place on a tray.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes or pan-fry until golden brown on all sides.
  6. In another bowl, mash avocado until smooth.
  7. Add yogurt or sour cream, lime juice, garlic, salt, and pepper, and mix until creamy.
  8. Serve salmon balls warm with avocado sauce on the side or drizzled on top.
